Snow update 9:15 p.m. Jan. 22

With ice and then snow and in between a mix of the two, we measured about 2 inches of accumulated ice and snow at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake at about 9:15 p.m.

This is a wet, heavy snow.

The latest, local National Weather Service forecast at 9:31 p.m., Tuesday, says we could see another 1 to 5 inches of snow over night and Wednesday morning.

Some schools in Walworth County and Racine County have closed already for Wednesday, but none have announced closure in Western Kenosha County for Wednesday as of 9:27 p.m., Tuesday.

A winter storm warning continues until noon Wednesday.

Keep in mind for the morning commute that areas to the west and the north of us are expected to see greater snow accumulations — perhaps as much as 4 to 8 inches.
