Snow forecast changes again

The latest, local National Weather Service forecast has again changed the outlook for snow on Tuesday for our area.

The forecast says we now may get 3 to 4 inches of accumulated snow — most of that Tuesday night. During the day Tuesday, the snow may be mixed with freezing rain, keeping down the accumulation. But ”┬áif temps are a touch colder, that mix may not happen, which would mean higher snow totals for this area,” the NWS says regarding far southeast Wisconsin (see above graphic).

A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 9 a.m., Tuesday to noon Wednesday.

Much of the rest of the lower half of Wisconsin other than Kenosha and Racine counties is under a winter storm warning.

We will stay on top of any changes in the forecast made by NWS and pass them on to you ASAP.
