Twin Lakes Police investigating stabbing

Twin Lakes Police are investigating a stabbing in Twin Lakes Sunday night.

From a news release issued Monday morning:

On Sunday, 1/13/2019 at 9 p.m., Twin Lakes Police Officers and Twin Lakes Rescue were called to an apartment in the 300 block of Holy Hill Road in the Village of Twin Lakes for a male subject that had a stab wound to the face. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 38-year old male with a stab wound to his face, later determined to have been caused by a large butcher knife. A witness at the scene along with the male victim advised officers that the victim’s 14-year old daughter had stabbed him in the face. Initial investigation revealed that the victim and his daughter had apparently been verbally arguing earlier in the evening about an online relationship the daughter was apparently involved in. The victim was later lying down on a cot in the living room of their apartment. The 14 old female suspect came from the kitchen into the living room and apparently attacked the victim with a large butcher knife. According to the mother of the 14 year old, she was also in the apartment and heard the victim yell. She then saw the 14 year old standing near her father holding two large knives. The mother said the 14 year old began walking toward her and threw the knives down. The victim was able to get up and held the 14 year old down on the floor, while the mother called police. The victim was transported via ambulance to Aurora Hospital in Burlington and later transferred to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 14 year old was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Racine County Juvenile Detention Facility. The Twin Lakes Police Department is still investigating this incident. Criminal charges are expected to be referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney. No names are being released at this time.
