Voters in the Brighton School District and Westosha Central High School District will have positions on the school board likely filled by write-in votes since no one filed to run for the posts.
For the Central High School board, there are two seats open. Area B – Bristol seat incumbent Steve Richter filed candidacy papers and is unopposed. No one filed for the the other up for election, Area A – Brighton. Incumbent Patti Zamba did not file for re-election. Therefore, that seat will be filled by the write-in candidate who gets the most votes, which may or may not be a declared write-in candidate.
For the Brighton School board, there was one seat open, with no one filing to be on the ballot. Therefore, that seat also will be filled by the write-in candidate who gets the most votes, which may or may not be a declared write-in candidate.
