Spring election 2019: Brighton offices to be uncontested, but with mostly non-incumbents

Town of Brighton offices in the April 2 election will not be contested on the ballot and for three of the four offices filled with non incumbents.

However, the positions will not be as full of newbies as that might seem at first.

The lone incumbent seeking re-election is Linda Perona as clerk-treasurer. She will be unchallenged on the ballot.

Susan Crane was the sole candidate to file for town chairman. She is currently a town supervisor.

Filing for supervisor no. 2 was David DeVito. He is a former town chairman.

Filing for supervisor no. 1 was Mark Schmidt.
