Bristol School Board seeking applicants for third board vacancy since start of school year

Bristol School Board President Kathy LeFebve has resigned her seat on the board.

That is the third resignation from the School Board since the beginning of the current school year. Amy George resigned in September and Kim Rickert resigned in October.

In a written statement, LeFebve said:  “My decision was not made lightly as I made a commitment to our school, students, and community when running for this position.  My resignation is solely based on personal reasons. My tenure on the board has been a rewarding professional and personal experience.  I have been honored to serve our community in this capacity.”

To replace LeFebve, the board will use a similar procedure as with the last two vacancies. District residents interested may apply for the board seat by submitting a notice of interest in writing to Andrew Boncher, by Jan. 2, 2019, at boncher.and@bristol.k12.wi.us. Any questions should also be addressed to Boncher.

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Jan. 9, 2019. They typically are held in open session at a School Board meeting.
