The Randall Town Board on Thursday approved a 2019 property tax levy of $988,127.
That’s a 10 percent increase from the 2018 tax levy of $899,203.
The 2019 levy was approved unanimously at a special Town Board meeting Thursday evening.
Chairman Bob Stoll said the resulting mil rate will be $1.78/$1,000 of assessed value, up 4.7 percent from 2018’s mil rate.
The special town meeting was preceded by a budget hearing during which the board went through the budget page by page and fielded questions from the audience. The hearing lasted about 35 minutes.
“You guys did a good job,” said resident Bruce Melling at the conclusion of the hearing.
