UPDATE: 2 inches on ground

We measured about 2 inches of snow on the ground  from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at westofthei.com headquarters on Paddock Lake.

The National Weather Service says there’s more on the way. A blizzard warning is set to take take effect for Kenosha County at 8 p.m. and continue until 9 a.m., Monday. A blizzard warning is triggered by strong winds paired with snow.

The flakes were huge while we were out measuring. Here’s some video:

UPDATE 6:45 p.m. — Several commenters at our Facebook page are reporting double or more the accumulation we measured.

UPDATE 6:55 p.m. — 3 inches at all measuring spots here at WOTI HQ in PL. Accumulation rate is picking up.

UPDATE about 8:48 p.m. — County reports via Facebook that 40 plows are out clearing roads:
