Four Racine men face homicide and other charges in relation to the shooting death of a Wheatland man last week.
Charged in Circuit Court Wednesday were:
- Demarco Hudson, 17, who faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide, attempted first degree intentional homicide, armed robbery and burglary armed with dangerous weapon.
- Markeith Wilson, 20, who faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide, attempted first degree intentional homicide, armed robbery and burglary armed with dangerous weapon.
- Augustine Sanchez, 20, who faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide, attempted first degree intentional homicide, armed robbery and burglary armed with dangerous weapon.
- Anthony L. Harris II, 23, who faces a charge of first degree intentional homicide, attempted first degree intentional homicide, armed robbery and burglary armed with dangerous weapon
The charges relate to the home invasion and fatal shooting of Joseph Riley, 23, who lived at the Wheatland home on 71st Street.
Deputies responded to the 71st Street address at about 10:30 p.m., on Nov. 15, after receiving an anonymous phone call that there had been a shooting there. Riley and a woman who had been shot were there. The woman reportedly remains hospitalized.
Hudson and Wilson, who were shot by Riley returning fire, were apprehended by deputies shortly after the shooting at a gas station/fast food restaurant in Paddock Lake, where they were dropped by the other defendants. Sanchez and Harris were later found and arrested.
Cash bond of $1 million was set for each defendant. The defendants next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 30.
