At about 5:52 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue, Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue and Newport Fire Department units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a semi-tractor trailer on fire in about the 9000 block of the southbound lanes of I-94.
UPDATE 5:55 p.m. — Deputy on scene with a tanker truck on Highway C off ramp; deputy reports to dispatch no flames visible.
UPDATE 5:57 p.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch that there is no fire. only smoke from a brake that locked up on the tractor.
