Updated snow forecast: Maybe close to 2 inches


At 1 a.m., snow is falling in Western Kenohsa County for the start of what is expected to be the first accumating snow of the season.

The National Weather Service forecast has settled on this area seeing about 1.7 inches of accumulation before this snowfall ends early Friday evening.

Snow fall should be strongest between 4 and 9 a.m., Friday. Eventually, snow may be mixed with rain during the day on Friday. By 1 p.m., it is likely to be over.

UPDATE 5:38 a.m. — Snow appears to be sticking more to grass than paved surfaces.
