Wind advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for an area of Wisconsin that includes Kenosha County.

The advisory is set to be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During this period, southeast winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph are expected.

The effects of such winds include: “… difficult driving conditions, especially along Interstates 94, 41, and 43. Outdoor objects such as lawn furniture should be secured to prevent damage from the wind. Isolated power outages may occur from falling tree branches.”

It also should be wet, says the latest, local NWS forecast. We have a 100 percent chance of rain with a quarter and half of an inch possible.
