Units responding for possible aircraft incident in Bristol

At about 6:12 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue and Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue are responding to the area of the Winfield Airport, 18120 Winfield Rd, Bristol, for a report of a possible aircraft incident.

Per dispatch: Caller that was southbound on I-94 reported seeing what looked like a aircraft on fire that then appeared to go down somewhere west of I-94 somewhere between Highway 165 (also, 104th Street, Highway Q and Winfield Road) and the state line.

UPDATE 6:19 p.m. — Fire unit at Winfield Airport reports no sign of a crash or aircraft on fire there.

UPDATE 6:26 p.m. — Fire unit confirms a glider was using an orange parachute in the area of the Winfield Airport.
