The National Weather Service flood warning for the Fox River in Western Kenosha County has been canceled, with the river below flood stage again.
The river had been under flood warning since Oct. 1, first exceeding flood stage on Oct. 2. Crest was at 13.24 feet on Oct. 7. That mark is eighth highest on the NWS list of historic crests for the New Munster gauge. The seventh highest historic crest of 13.37 was reached on Feb. 21 of this year and the highest ever crest of 17.47 was reached on July 13, 2017.
