The Fox River has receded a bit from its highest point over the last few days, but is expected to rise again with more rain in the forecast.
Consequently, a National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.
That trend may continue for Thursday, but strong chances of rain are back in the forecast starting Friday through Sunday, ranging from 60 to 80 percent for the most part. Early forecasts for Monday through Wednesday of next week include a 50 percent chance of rain.
The NWS forecast calls for the Fox to crest at 13.2 Saturday afternoon. It is still expected to be above flood stage on Wednesday.
