Fox River tops flood stage

The fast rising Fox River topped flood stage as measured at the New Munster gauge early Tuesday morning.

Flood stage is 11 feet. The river stood at 11.25 feet as of the 7 a.m. reading.

A National Weather Service flood warning remains in place. 

The NWS forecasts a crest of 13.9 feet for the river, coming Thursday morning.
