The Sankulpa Yoga Center opened in Bristol this summer and shares a building with the new Bristol Hair Shoppe at 19806 83rd Street.  Lori Hawkins is the owner of Sankulpa Yoga, and her vision for this space is to bring the benefits of yoga to the community.  “Yoga has the ability to help enrich the lives of every single person who practices it.  Yoga has been known as a release from stress or an anxiety and a tool for focus and mindfulness.  Some come in for the many physical benefits of yoga:  strength building, balance, and flexibility.  One of the things I love best about yoga is that it just helps me to feel better in mind and body,” says Hawkins.

Sankulpa Yoga offers a multitude of classes as well as some unique workshops and special events.  There is something for the beginner, the experienced yogi, and everyone in between, including classes designed for kids and athletes.  Their class schedule online gives a description of what to expect for each class.  They can also schedule a private or small group class at a time that works for you.  Teachers at Sankulpa Yoga are experts in their field and have the background to help every student make adjustments or take modifications to get the most out of each pose at each student’s experience and current ability level.

As a former school teacher, Lori Hawkins trained to become a yoga teacher with Emerald Heart School of Yoga in 2016.  Her desire was to bring relief to students for the anxiety and stress they experience.  She has developed a workshop for teachers to give students (and for teachers themselves) the tools to help ease stress during the school day.  Expect to find a stress-reducing yoga  class before and after school hours in the fall on the class schedule too.

Sankulpa Yoga offers a welcoming environment of highly trained yoga teachers who are truly dedicated to helping those who enter the yoga center gain what they seek from class.  They look forward to working with you.  Classes can be purchased individually or by packages of 10 at sankulpayoga.com.  Drop ins are also welcome.
