Aug. 9, 2018 lake test results: Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach closed to swimming; DeWitt Park under swim caution

Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach on Paddock Lake is closed to swimming and DeWitt Park beach on Silver Lake is under swim caution after testing on Tuesday showed elevated E.coli levels in those locations.

Cautions are issued for results of more than 235 E.coli/100 mL. Beaches are closed to swimming for a test result of more than 1,000 E.coli/100 mL.

Tuesday’s result at PHLA on Paddock Lake was greater than 2,419  E.coli/100 mL.

Tuesday’s result at DeWitt Park beach on Silver Lake was 548 E.coli/100 mL.

Both locations were expected to be re-sampled Thursday.

Other results reported Aug. 9, 2018 by the Kenosha County Division of Health were:

  • Salem Lakes — Rock Lake 101 E.coli/100 mL. Center Lake  2 E.coli/100 mL. Silver Lake County Park on Silver Lake  32 E.coli/100 mL.
  • Wheatland — Lilly Lake 57 E.coli/100 mL.
