July 26, 2018 lake test results: Lance Park beach remains closed and Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach under caution after retest; cautions, closures lifted for Lake Shangri-la #1, Hoag Park and DeWitt Park

Lance Park beach on Lake Mary in Twin Lakes remains closed to swimming and the Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach on Paddock Lake remains under a swimming caution after retesting by the Kenosha County Division of Health at both locations Wednesday continued to show elevated levels of E.coli.

Cautions are issued for results of more than 235 E.coli/100 mL. Beaches are closed to swimming for a test result of more than 1,000 E.coli/100 mL.

Lance Park beach’s Wednesday result was 1,046 E.coli/100 mL

PHLA’s Wednesday result was 579 E.coli/100 mL.

Those locations are expected to be retested Thursday.

Closures or cautions issued for Lake Shangri-la #1 on Lake Shangri-la, Hoag Park beach on Paddock Lake and DeWitt Park beach on Silver Lake were lifted Thursday after retesting from Wednesday showed normal E.coli levels.

Lake Shangri La #1’s Wednesday result was 51 E.coli/100 mL.

Hoag’s Wednesday result was 2 E.coli/100 mL.

DeWitt Park beach’s result was 183 E.coli/100 mL.

UPDATE July 27 — Lance Park open and Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach closed after retest.
