Info sought to identify woman struck by lightning at Country Thunder

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is looking for information to identify a woman struck by lightning early Friday morning at the Country Thunder music festival in Randall.

From a news release issued Friday morning:

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident where a Country Thunder attendee appears to have been struck by lightning.  The identity of the victim is unknown at this time. On 07-20-18 at approximately 12:36am the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department responded to the campground who was believed to have been struck by lightning. The subject is a white female with an approximate age of 18-22. She is described as having a small build and brown hair. She was wearing a dark T-shirt, dark jean shorts, and brown cowboy boots. The female was unconscious and had no identification on her. The woman was seriously injured and was transported to Northern Illinois Medical Center for treatment. At the time of this release no missing person report matching the female has been reported. UPDATE 11:07 a.m. — Sheriff’s Department says woman has been identified as a 22 year old from Illinois.
