There’s a pretty good chance some rain sometime over the next few days will snap the dry spell Western Kenosha County has been under for a while, says the latest, local National Weather Service forecast.

The chance for rain begins this afternoon, with a 20 percent chance of a thunderstorm developing after 4 p.m. That will increase as the evening goes on and through most of Friday rain is likely with a 70 percent chance.  The chance for rain will begin to taper off Friday night, with a 50 percent chance of rain in the forecast for Saturday and a 20 percent chance of rain for Sunday.

The high temperature Thursday will reach 81 and then be in the high 70s through Sunday.
