Fox River heading down — slightly; flood warning remains in effect

The Fox River appears to have crested and is receding, even if ever so slowly.

The river reached 11.68 feet Thursday. Since then it has been a little up and down, not moving much, but not going over that height. At 4 a.m. Friday, it was at 11.64 feet.

Friday’s forecast calls for more rain, but just between .10 and .25 of an inch total.

A National Weather Service flood warning remains in effect.

The current NWS forecast for the Fox sees the receding picking up Friday and the river being back under flood stage of 11 feet by Saturday morning.
