Bristol and Randall school districts awarded Wisconsin School Safety Grants

The Bristol #1 School District and the Randall J1 School District were among the 20 districts statewide that were announced Wednesday as recipients of Wisconsin Department of Justice School Safety Grants.

Attorney General Brad Schimel announced the grants.

Bristol will receive $22,925; Randall will receive $21,935.

Bristol issued a press release Wednesday that said the district “plans to use the grant to reconfigure their front entryway to
ensure a safe environment for students and the school community.”

Randall district administrator John Gendron said the money will be used for:

  • $1,935 for Security Film to be placed on the glass at both school entrances.
  • $20,000 for security camera system for Randall School.

“We are very excited about receiving the grant as we believe both measures continue to enhance the safety of students, staff, and volunteers,” Gendron said. “In addition, the Spring Referendum provided for the construction of secured vestibules at both entrances.”
