Twin Lakes honors Dennis Deeter with tree in Central Park

A tree in Central Park was dedicated by the village of Twin Lakes to the memory of Dennis Deeter Monday evening.

Deeter was a member of the village Plan Commission for 10 years. He died in 2017.

Village officials and family members and friends gathered for the dedication in a light rain. The white oak tree was donated by Creative Edge Landscapes.

Village President Howard Skinner told a personal story about Deeter’s dedication to his work and also read some prepared remarks. Here’s video of the presentation followed by more photos:

The planting and dedication of a White Oak is fitting for such a good man as Denny. Just one of the good residents of Twin Lakes, this man would do anything for anyone he knew and even didn’t know.
