Wheatland Center School mathletes compete in 2018 regional meet

The hard work and success of Wheatland Center School Mathletes continued at the Regional Math Meet that was held at the Kenosha County Center on March 14.

Students in grades fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth competed against forty other math students from 10 local schools.

Members of the fifth and sixth grade Wheatland team were: Sofia Bronson, Evan Close, Nolin Jannke, Elizabeth Nickolette, Jack Brenton, Josh Dorobek, Ian Kerkman, and Amanda Rainey. Members of the seventh and eighth grade team were: Alex Bush, Gwen Hammond, Keghan Pye, Kianna Weis, Austin Butterfield, Jessica Dorobek, Carly Lois, and James Vineyard.

Sixth grader Josh Dorobek scored second overall for his grade level and received an individual medal. The fifth and sixth grade math team finished 1st place overall and will compete in the MegaMath meet in Madison in May.
