The Fox River, as forecast by the National Weather Service, exceeded flood stage of 11 feet by about 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
As of 8 p.m., the river stands at 11.54 feet as measured at the New Munster gauge.
A flood warning remains in effect.
A crest of 13.3 feet is forecast for Wednesday afternoon.
