The fire chiefs for Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue and Town of Wheatland Fire Department have cancelled open burning bans that were issued earlier this week in their respective coverage areas.
That action affects Salem Lakes, Paddock Lake, Brighton and Wheatland.
In announcing the cancelling of the Wheatland ban, town Clerk Sheila Siegler reminded residents there to “call the fire chief for a burn permit for any larger burn, 262-496-4967.”
