Some Bristol village officials and other tree lovers celebrated Arbor Day Saturday at the village dog park.

It was a working celebration, with participants spreading wood chips at the base of the trees at the park.

This is Bristol sixth year being designated as a Tree City USA. Holding an Arbor Day celebration is one requirement of being designated a Tree City USA. The designation can help the village get grants for tree-related projects in the future.
