Units responding for smoke in Rock Lake

At about 3:05 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue and Bristol Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of smoke coming from a garage in the 12000 block of 257th Avenue in Rock Lake.

Per dispatch: Garage is attached to the house by a breezeway. No vehicle in garage. Cars being moved off driveway.

UPDATE 3:07 p.m. — MABAS box alarm being activated for heavy smoke and flames showing.

UPDATE 3:13 p.m. — For box alarm, following response requested: Pleasant Prairie Fire Department with an engine, Randall Fire Department and Town of Wheatland Fire Department with tenders (water tankers), Union Grove Fire Department with a truck, Silver Lake Rescue Squad with an ambulance, Bristol and Pleasant Prairie with chiefs. Responding for change of quarters to cover Salem Lakes stations are Kenosha Fire Department, Antioch Fire Department, Paris Fire and Rescue and Kansasville Fire Department.

UPDATE 3:31 p.m. — Dispatch reports fire is knocked down and says fire command has slowed response of responding unit to non-emergency.
