At about 3:15 p.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue Squad units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire the 31800 block of 60th Street (Highway K) in Wheatland.
Per dispatch: Caller reporting hay bales on fire. Near an animal trailer, but no animals in the trailer.
UPDATE 3:23 p.m. — Randall Fire Department and Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue requested to respond as mutual aid. Randall to respond with a grass rig and Salem Lakes with an engine.
