Units responding for fire in Salem Lakes

At about 6:43 p.m., Salem Lakes Fire/Rescue, Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Silver lake Rescue Squad units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire in the 30600 block of Geneva Road (Highway 50)in Salem Lakes.

Per dispatch: Smoke coming from the second story of building being reported.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch that all occupants of the building have evacuated.

UPDATE 6:51 p.m. — One lane of westbound Highway 50 to be blocked.

UPDATE 6:59 p.m. — Box alarm issued. Units due to respond include: Bristol Fire and Rescue with an engine, Wheatland FD and Randall Fire Department with tenders (water tankers), Union Grove Fire Department with a squad, Silver Lake Rescue with an ambulance and Racine Fire Belles with special equipment.. Responding for change of quarters  to cover Salem Lakes stations are Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue, Antioch Fire Department, Newport Fire Department and Kansasville Fire Department.
