Spring election 2018: Salem Lakes village trustee results

Early results are coming in for the contested race for Salem Lakes village trustee.

The candidates with the three highest vote totals will fill the available seats. These are two-year terms.

At 8:30 p.m., results from 3 of 3 polls which may not be complete show:

  • Dennis Faber 763 (22%).
  • Incumbent Bill Hopkins 690 (20%).
  • Ron Gandt 636 (18%).
  • Amee Janus 550 (16%).
  • Incumbent Laura Francart 493 (14%).
  • Joe Wade 355 (10%).

Incumbent Bob Raymond did not stand for re-election. Faber was a long-time Salem town supervisor, but was defeated for trustee last April in the first municipal election after the merger of Salem and Silver Lake as the village of Salem Lakes.

    After Salem Lakes has another Election Goof up Like almost every other election. Do they have an explanation for what happened this time? Last time they blamed the County clerk Who’s fault this time?
