The Town of Wheatland Fire Department Auxiliary held its annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at the firehouse in New Munster.
With a rainy morning developing, the fire equipment was moved out and the eggs moved in to the firehouse and the hunt was held inside. Egg hunters were divided by age group and given an egg quota based on how many hunters there were. When they picked up that number of eggs, they were instructed to stop. They were all able to go back later and scoop up leftover eggs.
Prize eggs entitled hunters to an extra gift.
