The Salem Lakes Village Board on Monday approved spending $10,000 for fireworks during the Summer Beats festival.
The display will take place over Silver Lake on June 23, as part of the village organized festival.
The cost is the same as last year’s display and will be done by the same company. That display received rave reviews from some board members.
“It was super duper last year,” village President Diann Tesar said of the display.
