Riverview School band and choir students were among those that competed at the district solo and ensemble festival March 10 at Wilmot Union High School.
Riverview students earned nine first ratings, 10 second ratings and one third rating. Choir director Anna Molloy and band director Mallory Friske said they were proud of all the hard work and extra practice time the students put into their pieces.
Of special note was that eighth grader Angelina Olson earned a 1* rating with a perfect score on her class A trombone solo, That performance qualifies her for the state solo and ensemble festival on May 5 at University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Somers.
