Snow expected this weekend

We should get some measurable snow — between 1 and 3.5 inches — this weekend, says the latest, local National Weather Service forecast.

The snow may start Friday night with a 60 percent chance and less than a half inch of accumulation.

The next window for snow is Saturday with a 50 percent chance after noon. The greatest chance of snow comes Saturday night — 80 percent — with 1 to 2 inches of snow possible. Sunday there’s a 70 percent chance of snow with another inch of accumulation possible.

High temperatures will be 17 Friday, 33 Saturday and 22 Sunday.

UPDATE 5:33 a.m., Friday — Latest NWS foreecast has reduced the chance of snow on Sunday to 50 percent.
