UPDATE: Woman dies from crash in Bristol

A 75-year-old woman from Bristol died from a crash in Bristol Tuesday evening.

Identities of people involved are not being released by the Sheriff’s Department at this time, pending notification of family.

The driver of another vehicle involved in the crash suffered a minor injury, a sheriff’s department statement said.

From a news release from the Sheriff’s Department released Wednesday morning:

On 01-30-18 at approximately 6:00 pm, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department along with Village of Bristol Rescue responded to a vehicle crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Highway D (184th Avenue) and Highway 50. Investigation revealed that a 2005 Honda Accord operated by a 75 year old female Bristol resident was traveling south on Highway D, and failed to stop for a posted stop sign at Highway 50. This operator was alone in the vehicle. Traveling west on Highway 50 at the same time was a 2005 Acura TL operated by a 49 year old male Salem Lakes resident. This operator was also alone in the vehicle. The Honda Accord entered the intersection and was struck by the Acura on the driver’s side. The operator of the Honda was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The male was also transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injury. Investigation revealed no signs of impairment, and the investigation is still ongoing. Portion of the intersection was closed for approximately two hours for investigation. Names of involved operators are being withheld at this time pending notification.
