Wilmot UHS to be closed again Wednesday; finals moved to next week

The well at Wilmot Union High School that failed on Monday and led to early dismissal that day and no school on Tuesday has been repaired, but school will still be closed Wednesday.

That’s because the school needs a passing water quality test before opening its doors again to students, an announcement from district administrator Daniel Kopp distributed through the school’s website and social media said.

Here’s the full message:

“The well is fixed!  Unfortunately, the water quality tests will not be complete until tomorrow night. Therefore, we will not have school Wednesday, January 17.   On the remote chance the water test is not good, I shall be in contact tomorrow night. Finals are going to take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week.”
