Wilmot UHS to be closed Tues. for water system repairs; finals resume Wednesday

Wilmot Union High School will be closed again Tuesday as repairs to the school’s water system continue.

School is expected to re-open Wednesday.

Students were sent home at 8:25 a.m., Monday, about an hour after school began, because the building had a water pressure problem.

Here is a statement issued via social media Monday afternoon by district administrator Dan Kopp:

Good Afternoon,
This morning we had a pressure pump fail on us; thus, we have no water. If all goes according to plan, we will have a new one installed on Tuesday. So, school is officially closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Unless we notify you otherwise, school will resume on Wednesday. PLEASE NOTE: the final exams, which were scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, will now be Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Because of this, the students will get out of school at 2:45pm on Wednesday, January 17, at 12:35pm on Thursday and Friday, January 18 and 19, and 10:50am on Monday, January 22. The students will be reminded of this change in schedule upon their return.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
D. Kopp
