We should get a fair amount of snow, but stretched out over relative long period of time, says the latest, local National Weather Service forecast.

Western Kenosha County could see 2-5 inches of snow from Sunday through Monday night, prompting the NWS to issue a winter weather advisory, in effect from 8 p.m. Sunday through 6 a.m., Tuesday.

Snow should start falling Sunday about 8 p.m. and continue through 11 p.m. Monday. A little more could fall after that into Tuesday morning.

This snow is expected to be powdery. Areas subject to lake effect may see more accumulation.

Sunday’s high temperature will be 18 and Monday’s 24.
