A Paris man faces two felony charges in connection with a crash on New Year’s Day along the Bristol-Paris border in which a Kenosha woman died, according to online Circuit Court records.

Christopher M. Thayer, 38, was charged Wednesday with homicide by intoxicated use of vehicle, a class D felony, and injury by intoxicated use/vehicle, a class F felony. He also faces traffic offenses.

Djuana Latshaw, 53, of Kenosha died in the crash. A 7-year-old passenger in her car has serious injuries, but is expected to survive.

Thayer was identified as the driver of the pick-up truck that the sheriff’s department says crossed the center line and struck Latshaw’s vehicle. Thayer sustained serious injuries in the crash.
