Trevor man charged in Twin Lakes double fatal shooting

A Trevor man has been charged in the shooting of two brothers from Twin Lakes outside a bar in Twin Lakes early Friday morning.

According to online circuit court records, Nathan A. Kivi, 25, has been charged with the following felonies:

  • Two counts of first degree intentional homicide.
  • Two counts of bail jumping.
  • Possession of a firearm convicted of a felony.

Twin Lakes Police were called to a bar in the 400 block of S. Lake Avenue just before 2 a.m. Friday. They found Richard Samuel and Kenneth Samuel III with bullet wounds. Richard Samuel, 28, was dead at the scene and Kenneth Samuel was transported to Burlington Hospital, where he later died.

Police say Kivi fled the scene and was gone before they arrived. However, he was identified by witnesses and eventually found on I-94 near Tomah, where he was taken into custody at about 8:15 a.m. Police used his cellphone to help locate him.

Kivi is next scheduled to be in court on Dec. 5 for a preliminary hearing.
