Wilmot UHS feeder schools to sponsor speaker on overcoming children’s keys to success

A nationally known consultant and motivational speaker will address “The Keys and Obstacles to Success” at the Riverview School library on Nov. 2 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Parent Night program is sponsored by Randall School, Riverview School, Trevor-Wilmot School and Wheatland Center School.

Michael McGowan, who works nationally with thousands of students/teachers, the NFL, MLB and companies every year, will focus, in an inspirational and humorous manner, on success skills for children including:

  • How to stay connected and involved as they grow.
  • What skills children need to be successful.
  • Making good decisions in the face of peer/social pressure.

Attendees can learn how to help with:

  • Bullying and cyber bullying.
  • Social media’s influence.
  • Encouraging good choices.
  • Respect and responsibility.
  • Developing our children’s conflict.
  • Resolution and leadership skills.

Park in the school’s main lot on School Street. Enter in door #6 and follow the signs to the library.
