Kenosha Crew U15G Sky compete in Reddan Ice Age Classic

The Kenosha Crew U15G Sky competed in the annual Reddan Ice Age Classic soccer tournament last weekend in Verona.  The girls finished pool play with 2 wins and 1 loss. They lost the opening game to Polonia 1-0, but came back strong to beat FC Wisconsin 5-0, and Capital East 4-0 to win a spot in the championship game. They played Geneseo in the championship game, where the girls went down 1-0 in the first 10 minutes. The girls came back in the final 3 minutes of regulation to tie the game on a corner kick. The girls played scoreless in 2 overtime periods to go to a shootout. In the shootout the girls came up short 5-3 which made them finalist. “This group of girls have really impressed me and work so hard for each other in just the past two months I became their coach. Their is some great talent in this group and look forward to see what they can do in the future” stated coach Nathan Weishuhn.
