A rainy Sunday will stretch out for a couple more days, says the latest, local National Weather Service forecast for Western Kenosha County.

There’s a 50 percent chance of rain continuing Monday. That will increase to 100 percent chance of rain in the early hours of Tuesday morning and continue through to Tuesday evening.

Rain is out of the forecast for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with a slight chance of rain returning Saturday.

Temperatures will be noticeably cooler this week as well. Monday and Thursday’s high temperatures should reach the high 50s, but the highs the rest of the week should be in the 40s. The low temperature Monday night should be about 44, but for the balance of the week lows will be in the 30s, flirting with a frost.
