Wilmot Union High School’s Homecoming 2017 football game was played Friday night.

The Wilmot Panthers suffered a heart-breaking overtime loss to Lake Geneva Badger 31-24. Wilmot was up 21 – 6 at the half, but Badger chipped away. In the third quarter, Badger ran and interception back for a touchdown. Each team kicked a field goal.  While on defense, quarterback A. J. Frisby’s leg was rolled up on, and he was done for the day. Badger scored first in overtime. It seemed that Wilmot rushed it in, but it wasn’t to be.

While the end result was not what was hoped for it was Homecoming and there was plenty of spirit all around to match the spirit shown on the field.
