Highway 45 update Sept. 29, 2017: Concrete hand pours, curb and gutter replacement, continue sign replacement

Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. After today, the state will begin providing an update every two weeks, instead of weekly. Check back Oct. 13 for the latest. — DH

What happened this week (Week of Sept. 11) — Began concrete pavement hand pours from WIS 50 to 83rd St. Began concrete curb and gutter placement from WIS 50 to 83rd St. Continued placing concrete for driveways from 83rd to 86th St. Continued concrete pavement placement from WIS 50 to 83rd St. Continued grading for sidewalks from WIS 50 to 83rd St. Completed placing topsoil from 83rd to 86th St. Completed permanent sign installation from 83rd to 86th St.

What’s expected to happen next week (Week of Sept. 18) — Begin landscape restoration from 83rd to 86th St. Begin concrete sidewalk, steps, driveways. Continue landscape restoration from 83rd to 86th St. Complete concrete pavement placement from WIS 50 to 83rd St. Complete HMA pavement from 86th St. to County C and County C intersection.
