Highway 45 update Sept. 1, 2017: Sign installations, surfacing and centerline markings from Hwy. WG to Hwy. C

Note: With the help of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, we will be telling our readers what work took place on the Highway 45 project in the week just past and what is expected to take place in the coming week. Check back every Friday for the latest. — DH

What happened this week (Week of Aug. 28) — Began installing signs on US 45 from County WG to County C. Continued sewer work south of at 82nd St. Continued final slope grading from County WG, working to the north. Continued with final landscape restoration as work progresses. Finished placing concrete pavement on US 45 from 86th to 83rd St. Finished concrete curb and gutter placement on US 45 from 86th to 83rd St. Paved the Bristol School driveway on US 45. Finished mainline HMA surface from County WG to County C. Installed centerline pavement markings from County WG to County C.

What’s expected to happen next week (Week of Sept. 4) — Begin concrete sidewalk and driveways from 86th to 83rd St. Begin shoulder aggregate placement from County WG to County C. Begin MSE wall placement between 82nd and 83rd St. Continue HMA surface on side roads and driveways from County WG to County C. Continue with final landscape restoration as work progresses. Continue sign installation from County WG to County C. Complete sewer work from 80th St. to 82nd St. Complete excavation and base aggregate placement from 80th St. to 82nd St.
