Aug. 30, 2017 lake test results: Old Settlers Park, Paddock Hooker Lake Association and Rock Lake under swim cautions

The Old Settlers County Park beach and Paddock Hooker Lake Association beach on Paddock Lake along with Rock Lake are under swimming cautions after testing on Tuesday showed elevated E.coli levels there.

Cautions are issued for results of more than 235 E.coli/100 mL. Beaches are closed to swimming for a test result of more than 1,000 E.coli/100 mL.

Tuesday’s results at Old Settlers were  435 E.coli/100 mL.

Tuesday’s results at PHLA were 236 E.coli/100mL.

Tuesday’s results at Rock Lake were 727 E.coli/100mL.

Other test results from local lakes reported by the Kenosha County Division of Health are:

Salem Lakes — Silver Lake-county park, 172 E.coli/100 mL; Silver Lake-DeWitt Park, 166 E.coli/100 mL; Center Lake, 2 E.coli/100 mL; Lake Shangri-la #1 (East) 23 E.coli/100 mL; Lake Shangri La #2 (South/East) 121 E.coli/100 mL; Rock Lake, 727 E.coli/100 mL; Camp Lake, 187 E.coli/100 mL.

Paddock Lake — Old Settlers, 435 E.coli/100 mL; Northshore Beach Association, 3 E.coli/100 mL; Hoag Beach, 108 E.coli/100 mL; PHLA Beach, 236 E.coli/100 mL.

Wheatland — Lily Lake, 1 E.coli/100 mL.

Bristol — Lake George (South), <1 E.coli/100 mL; Lake George (103rd), <1 E.coli/100 mL.

For Powers Lake, sampling on Monday showed a result of 14 E.coli/100mL. That testing is performed by the city of Burlington.

This week will be the final round of testing for the year.
