Amber Torres named new Wilmot Union High School principal

Wilmot Union High School has a new principal.

Amber Torres will replace John LaFleur who resigned earlier this summer, the district announced via news release Tuesday.

From the announcement from the district:

Amber Torres has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Communications from Carthage College. Ms. Torres has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. She has been working at Horlick High School for the past 2 years as an Academy Principal. Prior to that, Amber was a Principal at Roosevelt Elementary for 4 years. She has also worked as an Assistant Principal and she taught theatre at Horlick High School for almost five years. “I am so very honored and excited to be a part of the Wilmot Family. I look forward to partnering with the students, staff, families and community to continue strengthening student success and expanding opportunities for our students to become career, college and
civic ready, “said Principal Torres.
